About

Born and raised in Nepal, Dr. Dilip Shah grew up curious about how the natural world works. That curiosity evolved into a lifelong pursuit of discovery—one that has carried him from the Himalayas to the forefront of modern biomedical research. Throughout his career, Dr. Shah has explored the mechanisms that connect cellular stress, immune dysfunction, and disease. His studies on oxidative stress, vaccine enhancement, and lung biology have opened new pathways for understanding how the immune system can be harnessed to heal. Currently, he focuses on lung injury and cancer therapeutics, blending molecular insight with translational potential. Beyond the laboratory, Dr. Shah values mentorship, collaboration, and curiosity. He believes science advances best when driven by teamwork and empathy—qualities he applies both with colleagues and in his personal life. Outside of research, he enjoys watching cricket, soccer, and the Super Bowl, as well as exploring emerging innovations that shape the future of medicine.
